This game is an attempt to meld my favorite aspects of classic top-down 2D Zelda games (dungeons, puzzles, etc) with combat that subscribes to more modern design paradigms, often found in roguelites and soulslikes, that is more fluid, nuanced, and rewarding.
· Developed in Unity and C#, action-adventure game inspired by classic 2D Zeldas.
· Custom shaders using Unity's Shader Graph tool to create effects like flames and heat distortion.
· Developed custom enemy AI for multiple enemy types.
· Designed and developed several high/low-level systems for smooth, efficient gameplay.
· Using Smart Lighting 2D asset for real time lighting and shadow casting.
** Game is still in early stages. A lot of artwork, music, and sound effects are just placeholders for now. Some sound effects are from older Zelda games; they will be replaced. **
